◎简　　介
　　　　为了和家人一同庆祝感恩节，广告商人尼尔（史蒂夫·马丁 Steve Martin 饰）坐上了飞往芝加哥的飞机，在机场，一个名叫德尔（约翰·坎迪 John Candy 饰）的粗俗男子让他无法忍受，不幸的是，他们在飞机上竟毗邻而坐。本以为忍过两个半小时的旅程就可逃出生天，没想到暴风雪的袭来让飞机更改了航线。在误打误撞之中，尼尔和德尔住进了同一个房间，屋漏偏逢连夜雨，小偷的造访又让他们丢掉了所有的家当，无奈之下，两人只得搭火车回家。随着时间的流逝，尼尔发现德尔的个性并非表面上看起来的那般教人无法忍受，两人的关系也渐渐亲密起来。可是，事情并没有就此结束，在一次又一次的意外中，尼尔觉得家离自己越来越远。
